The Edinburgh Inspiring Capital Yacht finally arrive in Western Australia - “It was totally awesome, scary, frightening, the most horrendous conditions you could ever imagine. Absolutely fantastic, though,” explains skipper Gordon Reid.

Clipper Update.....The Edinburgh Inspiring Capital Yacht take Hector, their mascot, everywhere. Here he is enjoying the view in Rio de Janeiro, looking over to Sugarloaf Mountain, what a view! He's even dressed in a City of Edinburgh Tartan Scarf!

The Edinburgh Inspiring Capital's crew arrived in Cape Town on Friday 30th Sept after their 3rd race, with only another 12 to go! The Kinloch Anderson kilts seem to be withstanding the harsh conditions as the crew look fantastic.

Gearing up for the Olympics 2012.....Organised through VisitBritain, two members of the US team visit Kinloch Anderson to learn more about the history of the kilt, tartan and to try on an outfit.

To help the Tollcross Primary School Gaelic Choir look their best, Kinloch Anderson made kilts and ties for them in the Holyrood Tartan. They will be performing at the National Mod from the 14th - 22nd October. The best of luck to them.

The Edinburgh Inspiring Capital's crew completed their first Atlantic crossing, arriving in Rio de Janeiro.  Looking fantastic in their Kinloch Anderson City of Edinburgh Tartan kilts, the team were cheered into the marina by the other crews at the end of the 3,500-mile race across the Atlantic from Madeira.

The High Constables of the City of Edinburgh were founded in 1611 and Deirdre Kinloch Anderson was elected as the first lady member to join the Society in 1998.

Day 10 and the "Edinburgh Inspiring Capital" Yacht arrive in Madeira. As part of the crew, Sue Gyford (a journalist for the Evening News) recalls that moment:

Sunday 31st July and they were off in their full kilted glory - the "Edinburgh Inspiring Capital" yacht with Skipper Gordon Reid in control together with his excited crew of 17 supporters.

The Kilt is the most popular choice for weddings and can make quite a statement if the bridal party all wear the same tartan.

Kinloch Anderson have produced a wonderful range of new childrenswear photos. Childrens kilts are proving very popular for weddings, christenings and also for general day to day wear.

Kinloch Anderson are supporting the City of Edinburgh who are entering the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 2011 /2012 with their ‘Edinburgh Inspiring Capital’ yacht crewed by a team of 52 people.
