Once the final design is approved and named, we officially register it with The Scottish Register of Tartans. This is the only official Government-backed register as laid out in the Scottish Register of Tartans Act 2008.
Deirdre Kinloch Anderson OBE helped set up this register to ensure that all designed tartans are catalogued officially and held at The National Records of Scotland, only to be used with the permission of the owner of the design.
An official certificate of registration is included in your design package.
Once registered, your design can be bought to life by weaving it into a variety of different luxury fabrics and products.
Clothing, accessories and homewares can all be made in your bespoke fabrics.
