Motto: Beart do reir ar mbriathar  (Irish):  "Action to match our speech"

County Dublin, or more correctly today the Dublin Region, is the area that contains the city of Dublin, the capital of Ireland as well as the largest city on the island of Ireland. Dublin was one of the first of the Counties of Ireland to be formally structured, in the late 1100s by King John of England.

Other than the City of Dublin the region conatians the modern counties of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown, Fingal and South Dublin.
