Bowie

Gaelic: Buidhe
Badge: The Bible
Latin Motto: Coelestria sequor (I follow heavenly things)
Bowie and Buie are probably the same name found in Kintyre Jura and South Uist. It was found in documents in Inverness in the 1600s. There was a family in Strathspey who were followers of the Grants.

This tartan is from a sample that came from a Roy Bowie in 1966. It has strong MacDonald tartan similarities.
