Burns Check

This is the Robert Burns check named after the celebrated poet and writer (1759-96) of traditional Scottish folk songs who lived in Dumfries, Galloway and south west Scotland. The design was created in 1959 as a tartan check so in this respect it has a dual description. It is a commercially popular design.
