The Edinburgh Zoo Panda Tartan is finally launched
To tie in with Burns Night and the Chinese New Year, Edinburgh Zoo has unveiled the exclusive fine wool worsted Edinburgh Zoo Panda Tartan fabric to commemorate the arrival of Tian Tian and Yang Guang to their new home in Scotland. The unique panda tartan was showcased for the photographers at Edinburgh Zoo’s panda enclosure, where our own designer, Kirsty Franey modelled a pleated skirt and stole in the tartan she created.

Kinloch Anderson have been working closely with Edinburgh Zoo to commission a special tartan to welcome the giant pandas to Scotland. The tartan has been approved by the Scottish Register of Tartans and reflects the huge cultural significance of Tian Tian and Yang Guang’s future arrival on Scottish shores.

The Edinburgh Inspiring Capital’s crew completed their first Atlantic crossing, arriving in Rio de Janeiro.
Looking fantastic in their Kinloch Anderson City of Edinburgh Tartan kilts, the team were cheered into the marina by the other crews at the end of the 3,500-mile race across the Atlantic from Madeira.
