KINLOCH ANDERSON’S LICENSING PARTNERS IN QINGDAO, CHINA ARE WELCOMED ABOARD THE EDINBURGH INSPIRING CAPITAL YACHT ON 29TH FEBRUARY 2012

Kinloch Anderson have teamed up with one of China’s most successful producers of quality underwear employing over 300 staff to develop Kinloch Anderson men’s and ladies’ underwear, sleep wear and related socks in China into top end Chinese Stores from May this year.

Mr Li Xiong Xu (left), the President and Owner and Mr Hsien-Wen Chien, the General Manager, are seen here proudly holding the Kinloch Anderson flag on the Edinburgh Inspiring Capital Yacht which is taking part in the Clipper Round The World Race. Mr Xu also presented skipper Gordon Reid with a pair of Kinloch Anderson pyjamas made by Taitung.

Qingdao was the location of the Olympic Sailing Centre for the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008 and their Marina is one of the world’s finest.  Qingdao has a population of 8 million and has the reputation as the city whose “welcome is the best of all”.

Douglas Kinloch Anderson, Deirdre, John and Peter were all in Qingdao earlier in February but unfortunately were not able to lengthen their stay in order to take part in this important occasion for Kinloch Anderson.

The hospitality given to our Chinese colleagues in Qingdao by Clipper Ventures Limited is a fine example of the great contribution made by this great Round the World Sailing Event to international relationships.  We are most grateful of our Relationship Manager, Sarah Cooke, who so kindly made all the arrangements on our behalf.
