Kinloch Anderson have created a wonderful new Country Collection including mens bagsladies bagssilk and lamora scarvesfairisle scarves, hats and wristlets, cushions and throws made in beautiful lambswool, merino wool and tweed fabrics combined with luxurious silks, sumptious lamora and bags which have been made in Scottish deerskin leather. Based on our Designer's (Kirsty Franey) trend predictions, for the year ahead, Tweed is a must have in your wardrobe and is here to stay.

The history of Tweed initially started on the Western Isles of Scotland when it was designed to withstand the harsh elements of the weather. It was hand-woven by the local people. It is traditionally woven in a plain weave or twill and you will often see beautiful herringbones and tweeds with subtle overchecks.

The quality and weight of a tweed makes it particularly suited to the hunting, fishing and shooting market as the heavy cloth makes it extremely robust.

We have chosen a stunning lightweight range of tweeds for our scarves which have been backed in silk and lamora (a mix of angora and lambswool). This fabric is around 10.5oz in weight and is extremely soft against the skin.

The heavier tweeds have been used for the bags and reflect the tradtional colours of the country.
