On Tuesday 8th May Deirdre Kinloch Anderson gave a presentation to the Number 9 Society at the Caledonian Club in London.  Her chosen title was “What Tartan means to Scotland Today” and the questions afterwards clearly indicated their interest and involvement.

The Chairman of the Number 9 Society, Colin Buchanan, thanked Deirdre for her thoroughly interesting and enjoyable journey through the world of tartan and “for such a sparkling presentation”.

Founded in 1997 the Society’s first Guest Speaker was Donald Dewar MP and in February the 131st Speaker was Angus Robertson MP.  So Deirdre followed in the steps of high profile Speakers!
