10 September 2010

Deirdre Kinloch Anderson spent seven long years in order to secure the registration of tartans in perpetuity in the public domain. A Bill was passed through the Scottish Parliament and The Scottish Register of Tartans is now held within the National Archives of Scotland.
Deirdre was awarded an OBE for her services to the textile industry in January 2010. She is the second member of her family to be honoured after her husband Douglas was also awarded an OBE for services to Export in 1983.
