Made in Scotland - A Celebration of Innovation

Marks & Clerk sponsored an event held at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow on 01 November 2012, called Made In Scotland – A Celebration of Innovation. The event was aimed at Scottish companies with proven inventions and innovations which are growing their businesses with a strong focus on international opportunities.

Pictured here is Amanda Noble and Kirsty Franey from Kinloch Anderson with a Japanese Kimono, a traditional garment worn by ladies, men and children. It can be seen incorporating tartan which is iconic of Scotland. Alongside it is the National Dress of Scotland. This kimono shows a very innovative way of taking inspiration from something strongly associated with Scotland and is a great representation of two countries coming together to create someone beautiful.
