Product Design & Procurement Executive
We are looking for a Product Design & Procurement Executive(full or part time considered). We offer long term career prospects, competitive salary, based upon experience and 33 days holiday per year.
The role will cover tartan design, all sourcing of corporate and wholesale products and have a value-adding input into other design-led items. Also, will have the opportunity to meet key customers where appropriate.
Tartan Design – personal and corporate
Product Design – corporate and wholesale
Supplier Management – for cloth and product development (help can be given if negotiation is required so experience of negotiation with suppliers is less important)
Internal Collaboration –
Take feedback from the sales team on what products are needed in the market and then source them accordingly.
Deliver products that work commercially.
Work closely with the sales team.
A real team player. Able and confident enough to help train the sales team (all of them) about cloth, weaving and products that are made from cloth.
Knowledge and experience of apparel/cloth design. Extensive experience not required in this area but at least one previous job of a similar remit
Experience of both buying and sourcing product and design work
Office based but comfortable if they are required to, occasionally, meet key customers to add value. Meeting customers with the sales team but not independently
Tartan design not required as a skill, but there is a need for a transferable skill from other clothing/textile background.
A network of product sourcing contacts would add real value, and this would be very beneficial if not required.
Competent on photoshop, illustrator and other design relevant software and an ability to use excel for commercial planning.
