"The
Breacan" is a kilted garment which has been
designed by Kinloch Anderson specifically to meet the Scot's desire
for a garment in tune with today's more casual style of
dressing. It is not intended as a substitute for the
traditional kilt, which continues to grow in popularity, but
provides an alternative particularly suitably for many leisure and
sporting occasions.

"Edinburgh Inspiring Capital arrived to cheers from their fellow
ocean racers as the Scottish team donned their Kinloch-Anderson
kilts in the City of
Edinburgh tartan. "It's been a fantastic, but very challenging
race," revealed Gordon Reid, skipper of the Scottish entry.
To tie in with Burns Night and the Chinese New Year, Edinburgh Zoo has unveiled
the exclusive fine wool worsted Edinburgh Zoo Panda Tartan fabric
to commemorate the arrival of Tian Tian and Yang Guang to their new
home in Scotland. The unique panda tartan was showcased for the
photographers at Edinburgh Zoo's panda enclosure, where our own
designer, Kirsty Franey modelled a
pleated skirt and stole in the tartan she created.
Kinloch Anderson have been working closely with Edinburgh Zoo to commission a
special tartan to welcome the giant pandas to Scotland. The
tartan has been approved by the Scottish
Register of Tartans and reflects the huge cultural significance
of Tian Tian and Yang Guang’s future arrival on Scottish
shores.
Kennedy Dalton, as seen on the far right, who has just handed
over his role of Master of the Merchant Company in Edinburgh,
proudly walked his daughter Julie down the aisle, dressed in
Kinloch
Anderson.
The Edinburgh Inspiring Capital Yacht finally arrive in Western
Australia - “It was totally awesome, scary, frightening, the
most horrendous conditions you could ever imagine. Absolutely
fantastic, though,” explains skipper Gordon Reid.
