Yorkshire Tea's travelling tea-mobile, Little Urn, visited Kinloch Anderson as part of a 12 day trip around Scotland to tempt Scots to try a "proper brew". The Little Urn arrived in the Port of Leith yesterday, said to be the place the first cargo of tea arrived in Scotland, in 1833.
Kinloch Anderson have created a wonderful new Country Collection including mens bags, ladies bags, silk and lamora scarves, fairisle scarves, hats and wristlets,cushions and throws made in beautiful lambswool, merino wool and tweed fabrics combined with luxurious silks, sumptious lamora and bags which have been made in Scottish deerskin leather. Based on our Designer's (Kirsty Franey) trend predictions, for the year ahead, Tweed is a must have in your wardrobe and is here to stay.
Update from the daily report from Clipper Ventures Plc - "Edinburgh Inspiring Capital arrived to cheers from their fellow ocean racers as the Scottish team donned their Kinloch-Anderson kilts in the City of Edinburgh tartan. "It's been a fantastic, but very challenging race," revealed Gordon Reid, skipper of the Scottish entry.
To tie in with Burns Night and the Chinese New Year, Edinburgh Zoo has unveiled the exclusive fine wool worsted Edinburgh Zoo Panda Tartan fabric to commemorate the arrival of Tian Tian and Yang Guang to their new home in Scotland. The unique panda tartan was showcased for the photographers at Edinburgh Zoo's panda enclosure, where our own designer, Kirsty Franey modelled a pleated skirt and stole in the tartan she created.
Kinloch Anderson have been working closely with Edinburgh Zoo to commission a special tartan to welcome the giant pandas to Scotland. The tartan has been approved by the Scottish Register of Tartans and reflects the huge cultural significance of Tian Tian and Yang Guang’s future arrival on Scottish shores.
The Edinburgh Inspiring Capital Yacht finally arrive in Western Australia - “It was totally awesome, scary, frightening, the most horrendous conditions you could ever imagine. Absolutely fantastic, though,” explains skipper Gordon Reid.
