Sterling Silver Penannular style Brooch in Celtic Design
£ 50.00
About
This jewellery is made in beautiful Sterling Silver. This style of Brooch was worn by Celts in Britain from the third century to early Christian times. It was used on cloaks pinned either on the shoulder or breast. This brooch makes the perfect gift and provides a beautiful finishing touch to the lapel of your jacket, scarf or handbag.
Supplied in a satin and velvet lined Kinloch Anderson presentation box.
The art of Celt is the only indigenous British art form of world significance, yet until relatively recently it has been largely ignored. The designs incorporate endless Celtic interlacings with "overs and unders" representing the "ups and downs" of life; and the unbroken continuity of the endless ribbon which symbolises the hope of eternal life.
