A specialist activity of the Kinloch Anderson Corporate Identity Division is to respond to the needs of companies, institutions or individuals who value and wish to enhance their identity and their image with their own specially designed tartan which can subsequently be registered in their name. (For registration purposes there should be adequate proof of weaving, preferably a woven sample.)
Tartan is more than a distinctive coloured rectangular pattern, it is a design which also has a meaning, a background and a relevant association. Kinloch Anderson design tartans under three headings:
The Design and Development procedure is as follows:
Stage 1 Background Information
Communication and discussion with the customer to understand their reason for the design in order to give it relevance, meaning and background association. Request for information on visual colours envisaged.
Stage 2 CAD Designs
Provision by Kinloch Anderson of CAD design printouts with the reasons given for the choices made.
Stage 3 Design selection by customer
Stage 4 Fabric types and qualities discussed with customer
Stage 5 Special tartan fabric or fabrics woven
Stage 6 Special tartan merchandise supplied
Corporate Tartan Wear and / or Gifts and Accessories.
